In July – Chance to go for a drive by Gauja river with Gauja tram (water bus). Start – Valmiera’s boat dock (Pilskalna Street). Opening hours: 6.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m. (working days), 12.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. (holidays). Price: 1,50 LVL (for pupils, students, pensioners – 1,00 LVL) per 30 minutes. www.ezi.lv

Prāta Vētra (Brainstorm) will perform in Valmiera this summer!

This summer Latvian band Prāta Vētra wil be touring Latvia six open-air shows. The tour will start on 28th of July in Jelgava. On 10th of August Prāta Vētra will perform in Valmiera, Pauku Priedes. Tickes are already on sale at eKase (https://www.ekase.lv/en/tickets/events/). The price for ticket is starting from 12 Latvian Lats (LVL).

There is a wide range of culture events in Valmiera happening in May!

Tourism season will be opened with a boat trip and a picnic for gourmands

On 12th May there will be a grand tourism season opening – a boat trip “Laivu maršs” and a picnic for gourmands in Valmiera and its surroundings. Boaters will start their trip at Brenguļi and will finish it in Valmiera. “Laivu maršs” will take place the second year. Last year there were more than 200 boaters and 80 boat crews.
