The name of the trail is because of the place where the female (River Gauja) meets the male (River Abuls). The trail starts from camping site „Jaunarāji”.

Sightseeing:

1) The River Gauja is the most beautiful and ever changing river in Vidzeme region and Latvia that starts in Piebalga. That is the only river of the largest rivers in Latvija that starts to flow and ends in the territory of Latvia. The length of the river is 460 kilometers.

2) The River Abuls – the only river in Latvia that has man name. It starts in Vidzeme highland.

The trail is facilitated: picnic areas campfire places.

You can taste or pick berries and mushrooms in nearest forests!
