The Valmiera Art days “Kustība” (“Movement”) will take place from April 1st until April 30. It’s become a tradition, that during the event both locals and guests of the town will be treated with a diverse programme – paintings in urban environment, plays, exhibitions, movies, lectures and the annual Latvian children and youth theatre festival.

From April 17th until the the 24th Valmiera will host the gourmet beloved Valmiera Restaurant week during which every guest will have the chance to experience
a true gastronomic delight, with a springy taste.

Māris Čaklais anniversary concert “Atkal, atkal ir debesis pušu” (“Again, again the sky has parted”). Location: Valmiera Culture centre.

From April 30th until the May 1st Valmiera will host the bicycle and cinema festival “Kino Pedālis” (“Bicycle Pedal”). The festival will offer exciting short-film programs in specially designed cinemas, program for children, as well as bicycle trips in 3 different routes: Family pedal (~15 km), Half-pedal (~ 25 km), Grand Pedal (~ 55 km).
