The oldest stud farm in Latvia working already for 70 years. There are approximately 200 horses in stud-farm "Burtnieki". Horses can be seen in the meadows around Burtnieki Lake and its surroundings. There worldwide famous horses and champions of Olympic Games are raised. In stud-farm "Burtnieki" a library with the widest range of books about horse-breeding in Baltic States can be found.

The stud-farm offers:

1) Excursions for groups in the stud-farm;

2) Ride a horse in arena or outdoors;

3) Ride with a horse-drawn carriage (in summer) or horse sledge (in winter).
