STRENČU TREE NURSERY

The “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) Strenču tree nursery is one of the world’s most advanced in terms of ornamental plant growing technologies. Various decorative plants and greenery can be viewed there. About 200 different varieties of conifers and deciduous trees are grown here, and during your visit you can walk freely in an unpolluted and gorgeous environment.

Meanwhile, forestry industry professionals (in large groups of 30-40 people) can observe the production processes of forest seedlings, see the first automated tree sapling packaging line in the Baltics, which packs more than 300,000 forest seedlings per day, as well as get a preview of the modern greenhouses where more than 10 million seedlings have been grown. Groups of pupils are welcome to sign up for the ”LVM Mammadaba” masterclasses. It is possible to buy seedlings on the spot. Tours must be booked in advance!
