DARE Holiday Printing Workshop

Valmiera’s birthday is unthinkable without fabric printing workshops. This year too, we have been preparing diligently to welcome every city resident and guest to the creative activity from July 21 to 25. As in previous years, you must come to the workshop with your own cotton T-shirt or bag. More information will follow soon. July 20-24, exhibition for children “Latvian puppet film – 60!” in collaboration with the film studio “Animation Brigade” 

The exhibition is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00.

  • From Tuesday to Friday at 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00 Valmiera Museum’s open collection “Granary”. 743+ stories about the ethnographic heritage of the Vidzeme region: ancient tools, agricultural, forestry, and livestock farming tools, household and everyday objects;

Thursday, July 23

16:00-20:00 round of the orienteering series “Magnet” “Krāču kakts”

Venue: Krāči corner

At 18.00-20.00 excursion “7 stops in Valmiera – from legends to flavors”. During the excursion, together with Ineta Amoliņa, it will be possible to hear, feel and enjoy Valmiera through legends, facts and flavors. Also, a “taste map” will be prepared for the participants, which will have to be filled out during the excursion. The three lucky ones who will have filled out the “taste map” without errors will receive surprise prizes.

At 19.00 open dance class “Everyone is dancing” with the ballroom dance club (BDK) “Valmiera”. Dance lovers are welcome to move to hot and energetic rhythms. We will learn salsa, swing/boogie. At the end of the evening, the BDK “Valmiera” dancers will perform a performance – Marching Foxtrot
