ZILĀKALNA CULTURAL HISTORY AND VISITORS CENTER

At the foot of Zilaiskalns, in the premises of an ancient water tower and a modern annex lies the Zilaiskalns Cultural History and Visitors Center ZTornis, where you can see the historical exposition about the natural object and shrine Zilaiskalns, the Zilaiskalns village, as well as the industrial object – water tower. Visitors can rise above Zilaiskalns and look into the historical narrow-gauge railway locomotive with the help of virtual reality. During the visit the guides of ZTornis will tell various stories about Zilaiskalns and the village, will take you to the top floor of the tower to look at the village of Zilaiskalns.

After the tour, it is possible to ride bicycles along the narrow-gauge railway tracks that once led to the peat bog.
