KĀBELE CASTLE MOUND TRAIL

About 3 km long circular trail leads to the ancient Latvian castle mound on the bank of the river Rūja. The path of the Kābele Castle Mound is perfect for lovers of short walks. Going through it, the view will open such important evidence of cultural history as the Naukšēni Manor complex, the ruins of the chapel of Baron von Grothe, as well as wooded natural landscapes. In the leisure place of the castle mound you can take a break, while from its hills you can watch the landscape that opens onto the Rūja river.
