NAUKŠĒNI WINERY

Naukšēni is engaged in winemaking for the second generation, achieving great success in local and international winemaking competitions over the years. While visiting the winery, the owner Jānis Baunis will introduce the work of the factory and give a taste of delicious wines made from local berries and fruits, Paradise apple ciders and the strong Strong storers.

Located within the Naukšēni Winery estate is the historic Ice Cellar, an important cultural heritage site built in the late 19th century approximately 300 meters from the winery. Originally used to store ice for cooling beer production at the Naukšēni brewery, the cellar now serves a new purpose.

Today, thanks to its thick stone walls and naturally stable underground climate, the carefully restored Ice Cellar is used for aging wines and ciders, allowing them to develop deeper aromas and a balanced, refined character.
