LAMB CLUB
The Lamb Club is a farm located less than 4 km from Mazsalaca. It will be interesting both for families with children and for larger groups of colleagues or friends. The sheep live here in a real club and they are being watched by a real shepherd dog. During the visit, you can both hug and feed the newborn lambs with a bottle of milk, take photos, as well as watch the sheep in their daily lives from the visitors’ balcony or in nature. The best time to visit is from March to May, when the young lambs are born.
During the tour, the owners Ilze and Valters will be happy to share their experience of sheep breeding and care, but by prior arrangement they will also prepare a delicious meal of lamb.
Upon requests the tour of the “Lamb Club” is complemented by various activities – games, quizzes and creative workshops using sheep’s wool.
Creative workshops:
- Felt soap (40 min – 1h)
- Dyeing of wool with natural colors (2-5h)
- Wool carpet making (~ 2h)
Lamb meat, sausages, sheepskin, wool and various wool products can be bought on the farm.
The visit must be booked in advance.
