NAUKŠĒNI BREWERY

The brewery (built in 1881) has experienced various events over the years, but despite all the storms, it still stands tall. Beer is no longer produced here, but, following the traditions of its ancestors, rye malt is made here: soaked in baronial-era vats, sprouted in vaulted cellars, and dried in an ancient wood-fired kiln.

In 2026, Naukšēni Brewery’s rye malt received the prestigious European Culinary Heritage certificate, recognizing the preservation of authentic traditional malt-making methods.

During the tour, you will look into the secrets of the ancient brewery, feel like a real brewer and participate in the authentic malt production process, taste, and look into the attic, where the brewers lived for more than 100 years. The most courageous visitors are invited to go on a special adventure – 6 meters underground – through the ancient cellar.

Additional offer – a feast at the Brūža family table, enjoying delicious soup and pancakes in a cozy atmosphere, listening to the sounds of the saxophone and surrendering to the rhythm of the waltz.
