VIDUSMEŽU TEXTILE WORKSHOP

Vidusmežu Textile Workshop offers an opportunity to discover textile art in a relaxed and hands-on way, where creative activity blends with the presence of nature.

Under the guidance of textile artist Laila Strada, everyone is invited to explore and create textile products using the eco-printing technique, and learn fabric tie-dyeing, painting, printing, felting and silk painting. Using plant leaves and a steaming method, it is possible to create original T-shirts, socks, tablecloths, shopping bags and other textile products. No prior experience is required – the sessions are suitable for everyone.

Vidusmežu Textile Workshop is located in the same building as Būda café and Vidusmežu Ceramic Workshop, creating a creative stop in Mazsalaca. A visit to the textile workshop can be complemented by a pleasant break at the café, an introduction to the ceramic-making process and walks in Skaņākalna Nature Park.

T-shirts and small home textiles made using the eco-printing technique can be purchased on site.
