Ķoņu dzirnavas is the only place in Latvia, where grain is grinded, wool is spinned, blankets are sewes and pillows stuffed with Latvian sheep wool – all of that in one location. Here you can go on a tour of the mill, during which you can follow the path of the grain as it turns into flour, see the retro-style machines that are still doing their job – plucking, carding, spinning and satin wool yarn in skeins.
You will arrive at the the mill’s handicraft workshop, where you will not only be able to see, but also buy yourself the wonderful wool products made from wool processed right here in the mill.
